Hi, I’m Jordan A. Hlebarov, a.k.a. “Jd”. I was born and has lived in Sofia, Bulgaria.
I have graduated from the American College of Sofia, class of 2002, with the Departmental Graduation Award in Informatics.
After high school I spent four great years at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Philosophy, where I got my BA degree in Cultural Science. You can see my BA thesis over here. Following the BA, I got a MA in “Virtual Cultures”, also in the Sofia University.
In 2021 I have graduated from the “Georgi S. Rakovsky” National Military Academy with a MA degree in “Cybersecurity”. I graduated first in class.
I’ve been developing websites ever since I was in high school. My freelance career started somewhere around after my high school graduation.
In the beginning of 2007 I started the Solutions Bulgaria – a boutique IT consulting company.
In 2008 I’ve rebranded my personal freelance work with the Hlebarov.com brand. Since 2015 it has grown to a WordPress development agency.
Also back in the summer of 2009 I started my other big and very personal business project – Adventura – a company, which is in the field of mountain bike trail research, trail building and almost every other aspect you can think of that is related to mountain bikes.
Free Time & Other Activities
I already mentioned that mountain biking is a big part of my life. It’s more than my favorite hobby and sport. Speaking of sports, all kind of activities that have something to do with mountains are very interesting to me. I also love my motorbike and go around the country for short-to-medium trips with friends.
I have participated in several non-for-profit initiatives and organizations. I am the Chartering President of the Sofia Leo Club, as well as I have served as International Leo Officer (ILO) for Lions Club International District 130 – Bulgaria. I also participated in the “Tuk-Tam“, where I am one of the founders and I served on the Managing Committee.
I am also one of the founding members of the AirBG.info initiative for clean air.
