The title of this post says it all - Кучетата си лаят, кервана си върви.
Or at least this is what I think is going on as usual in our country. I witnessed the protest yesterday for the Strandja status revocation. Well, truly it was fun, it was something to show a position and civil stand, but hardly making any difference. I don’t think that with protests only there will be any impact.
On the other hand, something that would make a difference is being made. The WWF foundation, together with a couple other ecological organizations, has put a claim to the EU commission to review the work of the Bulgarian government on the issue of Natura 2000. I think it is namely the EU that can make some push on the government so that it begins to work for the good of the people of Bulgaria rather than for the good of just a handful of people’s interests.
We will see if this would work. Hopefully we see it soon!
