Smolyan trip: Phase 01
Here I am, after the 4 hour drive from Sofia to Smolyan. We arrived a couple of hours ago at the center of the town. A nice town, with a lot of architecture of the buildings that has remained from the socialist times. Even the hotel, in which we are staying – the Smolyan Grand Hotel – is a huge and gigantic. The surprising thing for me however, is that there were a couple of open wifi networks, to one of which I’m currently hooked to. This was good because in Bulgaria the mobile internet is ridiculously expensive. Tomorrow I’ll try to steal a bit of time to walk around the town and take some pictures before the start of the Lions seminar, which I’ll be attending.
