Holiday wishes
Well, it’s finally the holiday season. At last the business part of the year is almost over. Almost I say because next week there are a couple of business days that I’ve got a couple of things to finish off before the 2006 comes. But this is next week.
The week that passes now was hectic as usual, but a little bit more hectic than usual. I finally bought a car – an old Lada Samara. It’s a good piece of Russian machinery, though that for the past couple of days I can’t really start it. In addition to this, there are a couple (well, actually quite a few) issues that have to be fixed in the car (the tin body, the right door, the left mirror, etc., etc.). I’m not posting any photos now for two reasons: first I couldn’t take the camera from the office and I don’t really want to make pictures with the mobile because they come up horribly; second – photos will be publish only when I get the car in a condition that is suitable for photos ;)
Otherwise there is a change in this blog. I won’t really notice it because it is a backend change – I’ve switched to WP 2.0 (beta3). So far, so good. I’m quite happy with the new look and features of the new version of my favorite blogging piece of software. It’s still a beta version, but I don’t think that it’s going to be quite different from the official release.
Having installed the new WP, these days I again came back to one of my projects that has been on hold for quite a while – a blog aggregator, focused on the ACS Alumni Community. If things are going well during the holidays (when I’ve got more spare time), and I manage to team up with Alek the way we initially came up with this project, expect results in mid January! :)
Well, let me wish a very Merry Christmas! The time of merriment and joy is here, so enjoy!
