ICQ.bg

Did you know that there is a Bulgarian version of ICQ? No? Well, there is. Abv.bg, the famous Bulgarian free web mail service, owned by the guys from www.netinfo.bg, had bought the rights and developed the Bulgarian i18n version of the famous IM client.

Yesterday I download the what’s called „ABV ICQ“ software to test it. Well, it’s very fancy, very cool looking. But, well yeah. There is the big BUT! In order to use the BG i18n version of ICQ, you have to have an account at abv.bg. Well, I didn’t have one, so I had to create one in order to use an icq.bg. Also, what I found particularty annoying is the fact that when you create an abv.bg account in order to use a BG ICQ, to password that you choose for your abv.bg account automatically becomes your ICQ password. Very annoying.

I actually quite exploring the feature of the BG ICQ after I opened it, browsed for a couple of minutes around (pretty much everything is the same as the normal, English version of the software), except that abv.bg have put all the commercial bulshit in there (though in Bulgarian), which I personally consider as spam.
